CHASSIS

Detail of light alloy compound frame. We see two pentagonal bars between the steer ( 80 mms) and rear shores, in fusion forged 33 mms. Maximum lenght of chassis is 340 mm. The engine setting is a three points 10 mms each layout, anterior in the middle of the V, and rear 80 mms up and 90 mms above the swingarm pivot.
The enormous mono swingarm is tubular 28-30 mms diameter, and in its rectangular section measures 110x65 mms. It's alloy forged with lead inside, to guarantee strenght. The basewheel is 1360 mms, wheels are 17'', 3,50 '' front rim and 5,75'' rear rim. Suspension is a Showa rear, with pneumatic external assist in load resistance, and front, an upsidown Showa Honda Factory 47 mms.
The steering angle is 22,5 degrees. Tires Michelin, of course...
Top speed at Mugello for this bike : 295km per hour...

A PAIR OF PISTONS IN 500 QUEEN CLASS

The Gresini Team NSR/V was one of the most competitive machines in that year in 500 cc Class, driven by brazilian pilot Alex Barros( 3rdplace at Donington Park).
The bike resulted well builded and easy to see, following the Honda races trend.
The fairbody was carbonated-kevlar fibers made by PRC in Modena(Italy), and the designer was a certain Gianluca Santi in Acqualagna(Italy). The technical management in track under Fabrizio Cicchitto.
The engine was a V2 100 degrees by HRC, 125 bhps power( but if we think of 95 bhps of 250cc engine, it's easy to calculate the gap between the real data and official data by Gresini at that time).
In this picture we can see steel brake disks, carbonated during races laps, on dry tar. The overall weight 107 kgs, and the steering plates were made by OCMA factory in Imola(Italy), on demand following Gresini. The cost of one season leasing was 200 millions lire ( 100k euros), and the swingarm is monosided, surprising choise for a MotoGp. Well done!!!!
